故事发生在二十世纪六十年代，黄大妮（王茜华饰）和孙木林（沈航饰）是一对刚刚成家的新婚小夫妻，然而幸福的生活还未开始，孙木林所在的地质勘查队就遭遇了塌方，前者下落不明。失去了丈夫的消息，绝望的黄大妮在腹中已有孩子的情况下转嫁给了牛建邦（曹征饰）。 可是，让黄大妮万万没有想到的是，孙木林并没有死，可是当他再度出现在黄大妮面前时，黄大妮早已经是牛建邦的妻子了，一对有情人在阴差阳错之下只能含恨分道扬镳。一晃眼多年过去，牛建邦去世，孙木林心中对黄大妮的感情并未褪色，向她重新展开了追求，而黄大妮碍于自己的身份和儿子的感受，迟迟不敢接受孙木林的感情。。This is a brilliant surrealistic film. But also a fully realistic story about a time when the brave avant-guarde artists were trying to explore the unknown landscapes of human possibilities.
