1933年抗日战争爆发前夕，华北形势告急，故宫博物院决定将馆藏精品转移，以避战火浩劫。自此之后的15年中，近百万件故宫文物历尽艰辛坎坷，行程数万公里，由北京经上海、南京辗转运抵四川、贵州，至抗战结束后，再陆续运回南京。这一捍卫中华民族文化瑰宝的雄伟壮举，是中国人民在惨烈的反法西斯战争环境下创造的保护人类文化遗产的伟大奇迹。。“From Far Away” is a documentary dealing with a journey through Turkey.
