路上，他们碰到了一个带着两个小孩一同出来游玩的老人。这个老人很怀疑埃里克斯和妮卡这两个外国人的身份。在和他们的导游交谈了几句之后，这个老人立即拔出枪来指着埃里克斯和妮卡。事情似乎走到了一触即发的边缘。埃里克斯的反应出人意料，但却在情理之中。他下意识地躲到了妮卡的身后。很快，他便恢复了平静，泰然自若地走到了妮卡的前面，挡住了这个陌生人的枪。
