新的一年，镰仓长仓家的快乐故事继续上演。吉野千明（小泉今日子 饰）荣升副部长，高居管理层的她对现场无比留恋。与之相对，长仓和平（中井贵一 饰）因世界遗产申报失败遭到惩罚任命，兼任观光促进课和秘书课课长，偏偏脾气乖张的市长又对他情感微妙。万理子（内田有纪 饰）走出蜗居，朝着编剧之梦迈进。真平（坂口宪二 饰）的婚礼出现问题，无奈又回归“镰仓天使”身份。典子（饭岛直子 饰）持续聒噪，与丈夫的关系进入关键时期。千明与和平若即若离，相互吐槽又惺惺相惜。而就在此时，当初用便签纸甩掉千明的青年编剧凉太（加濑亮 饰）突然出现，和平似乎也对女儿同学的母亲原田薰子（长谷川京子 饰）颇有好感。 48岁的千明，52岁的和平，加在一起一百岁的两个人，走过樱花烂熳的时节……。The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely. The tamped-down acting and the spare, tense visual rhetoric suggest a state of moral crisis as well as the response—as much in style as in substance—that it demands.。
