命运捉弄人，1967年因炸死犹太律师和两个孩子的死刑犯萨姆，在临刑前28天第一次见到孙子——已成为助理律师的亚当。萨姆在知道亚当是自己的孙子后，开始回答亚当的问题。他说他是因为家族的关系而参与到三K常活动中去的。他的祖父反对解放奴隶，是三K党创始人之一。他去杀人完全是履行职责。萨姆通过明查暗访，了解到萨姆根本不懂爆破，所以，他不可能是主谋。只要官方允许他调阅档案，他想信还能找到更充分的证据。但是州长不同意，萨姆也表示要放弃，不再上诉。。Two young men (Jon Cryer, Rick Stear) who have been friends since early childhood decide to go on a trip to find a third friend (Rafael Baez) who has long since disappeared. Stories they have heard indicate that the friend has been seen in an apparently rambling, incoherent state at Coney Island. Their trip leads them to a number of adventures involving the otherworld-like life...。
