Unable to find inspiration for his newest piece, young author Liam (Daryl McCormack) takes on the titanic weight of tutoring the son of legendary writer J.M. Sinclair (Richard E. Grant) and his wife Hélène Sinclair (Julie Delpy). Reeling from the mysterious passing of their eldest son, the Sinclairs push Liam to work harder and invite him to stay on the estate grounds with them...。浩然和紫君在酒店风流过后，紫君表示不能容忍这种关系，扬言要杀了其妻子蔼玲，而在浩然出差回来后，紫君已死，而紫君前男友突然找上门......。在汽水厂工作的少女爱丽丝（Olga Kurylenko 饰）因为一场事故失去了无名指的之间，在此之后，她离开汽水厂，来到海滨码头寻找工作。兜兜转转，她最终来到专门制作标本的“忘情实验室”，在此担当助理。“忘情实验室”的业务有些特别，它旨在帮助人们忘掉通过的回忆，并将他们的珍藏以标本形式保存下来。
爱丽丝渐渐融入并喜欢上了这份工作，此外，她和实验室的医生（Marc Barbé 饰）关系也愈加密切……
