A lawyer is left to care for a massacre survivor, who happens to be the son of his former client. His wife and daughter welcome the boy with open arms as part of the family. But as the kids get older, the daughter confesses her love for the boy. Soon, their complicated relationship ignites a revelation of secrets and harbored feelings, shaking the foundation of a family's love ...。诺阿本来拥有一个非常幸福的家庭，有一个和他十分相爱的妻子，然而，因为他自己的贪婪和不安现状，诺阿间接导致了妻子的死亡，这让诺阿直到今天都一直生活在愧疚感的阴云之下，无法继续自己的生活。
终于，诺阿受够了自己的郁郁寡欢了，他决定离开伤心地，来到了一个叫做迷雾湖泊的地方，在这里，他租下了一间小屋。迷雾湖泊宁静美丽的风景让诺阿有了一种焕然一新的感觉，在这里，他得到了久违的内心的平静。就在诺阿觉得一切都即将变好之际，几件接连发生的恐怖事件让他意识到，他的过去或许并不愿意放过他。。
